The historic light plant offers over 11,000 square feet of unique event space. Featuring a large open hall, a one-of-a-kind lower-level cellar experience, an exclusive outdoor patio, and more.
Built in 1903, the monumental building once generated electricity for public streets and buildings in the downtown area. Today, The Stack at Municipal Light Plant is your event destination, garnering its name from the two-story high smokestack built in 1946 that stands as a welcoming symbol of Genuine Hospitality in Columbus. The venue accommodates 250-300 guests for a seated reception and up to 400 guests for a standing reception.

Amenities
The Stack at Municipal Light Plant includes exclusive outdoor patio, historic cellar, 2.5-hour set up time and 2-hour breakdown time, onsite private suites, day of coordination, 60-inch round tables, eight and six-foot tables, cabaret tables, silver chameleon chairs with black chair pads, and mobile Savannah bars.

We offer complete event coordination and a step-by-step partnership, from the early planning stages to the logistics of the day of your event. Parking
Public parking is available throughout the Arena District. We are conveniently located across the street from the Astor Public Parking Garage. Should valet service be more accommodating, our event specialist can coordinate this convenience to elevate the experience for you and your guests.
